CONTEST ENDED SEPT. 30, 2011
I was dubious when I received an email from My Memories Digital Scrapbooking asking me if I'd consider promoting a contest on my blog. I read and reread the email then finally decided I should at least give the srapbook software a try. I did. Well... I guess what I have to say will sound like an advertisement for My Memories software, and you'd be right.
Listen... The download was simple despite my computer not having Quicktime - a requirement of the software. Quicktime downloaded and was automatically followed by My Memories Suite. Be prepared as this program is quite large but that's because there's a ton of stuff in it like backgrounds, embellishments, word art, and lots of different fonts.
But here's the kicker, after downloading and booting up the program, I was up and going in no time at all then, when I opened the program, I was given a choice between supplied predesigned templates and pages, or creating my own. Being me, I opted to create my own (right). Creating it was quick and easy since everything I needed resides on both side panes of the main page. Honestly... It's no joke. The most difficulty I had was deciding what I wanted to use and do for design.
As an aside, later I perused the designer templates and found plenty to choose from.
Today is my honey's birthday, so I made a card for him (below) this morning. It took me about an hour because - again - I spent most of my time deciding between colors and elements. I'm pleased with the end result so I'll print it out and glue it to the front of card stock then add a birthday message inside. Also, you may wonder how I got the files I created into my blog. After opening the different files at the top of the layout page, I found export to .jpg. Fantastic! I certainly have use for that.
Contest Specifics
So what about the give-away, you ask? This is the fun part. My Memories Digital Scrapbooking Suite is giving away a copy of their software through a drawing on this blog. To enter the drawing, all you need to do is head over to My Memories website and click on Digital Scrapbooking Kits in the left sidebar. From the choices, decide your favorite then come back here and post a comment telling me which one you chose. Be sure to leave me contact information so I can ensure you receive your copy should you win the drawing.
Contests ends September 30, 2011. The winner will be announced October 1, 2011
