Top: To paint the edge, I laid a disposable plastic plate on top of my garage sale find then ran a lead pencil around the outer edge and painted the edge black using the line as a guide.
Middle and bottom: Nothing special about the painting techniques. Just a bit of dry brushing on the pumpkins.
All plates were sealed with water based varnish.
